Over 3,500 School Bags Packed Last Night, 1,500 to GO

Grateful to God for the Youth and Young Adults of the Northeastern and Greater New York Conference, who put together 3,500 school bags filled with school supplies last night at the Greater New York Conference Adventist Community Services Center. Also grateful to the Director, Pastor Ruben Merino and the Staff of the Adventist Community Services Center in Queens (Iris, Oscar, and Rasandy), they have received over 400 boxes for the Back2School Compassion Bash, they have unloaded, organized, itemized and have been super supportive and helpful, and besides that, they fed all the volunteers last night. Can’t thank God enough for Aurora Sandoval, the Back2School Compassion Bash Project Coordinator, and Carlene Harris who led out in the packing last night.

Remember, if we are right in everything but have not love and compassion, we are wrong. These volunteers are right, they’ve got love and compassion! Join us over the weekend if you are in the New York City area. Let’s become the heart, the hands, and the feet of Jesus in New York and wherever you are!
